Her favorite thing about her husband is he left three years ago. He’s a marquess out to prove she’s a fraud. In order to save her brother, she has to accept the help of a man who could ruin her. This series about the Carhart family is set in Regency era England. The only information available so far is that this book will feature Ellie from Find Me and Kenji from Hold Me.Īnd this one will be about Angela Choi from Hold Me. This one is about Blake’s dad, he’s in prison, and that’s all I know so far. The sister Blake didn’t know he had shows up and tells him their mom needs a liver transplant…and he’s a match. This novelette features Tina and Blake from Trade Me when their parents meet at Lunar New Year. They hate each other, but neither of them knows he’s the commenter she’s been interacting with on her blog for 18 months. This contemporary series that revolves around tech company Cyclone Technologies was my introduction to Courtney Milan books. She’s a courtroom witness he threatens with imprisonment. He’s a magistrate devoted to his duty and running from his past. She’s a secret courtesan, hired to destroy him. He’s her former tormenter, hoping to make up for it. She’s a wallflower headed for spinsterhood. But that means displacing her, and she’ll do whatever she has to in order to stop him. He “stole” a dukedom and was recognized as the rightful heir. This series is set in the early Victorian period in England. The Turner family has fallen on hard times. He’s a rake (aren’t they all?) with an infamous advice column who moves in next door and takes an interest in her. She’s a mathematical genius who keeps to herself.

He’s a forger bent on revenge who is hired to take her down. Maybe later, once I've forgiven Richard & fallen in love with Smite, as I am sure I will do with the series progression, I will appreciate this short excerpt a bit more. She’s a suffragette who runs a newspaper her enemies are bent on destroying. more elt a connection with Smite yet in the series, so I don't really want to dislike him before I am expected to feel otherwise. I'm still pissed at Richard right now & I am not quite ready to feel more for him than righteous indignation. I'm not sure I like that after reading Unveiled. Review 2: A very short scene between Richard & Smite. He really is also a victim of the prior generation. Like a lot other readers, I actually felt closer to richard, though he was an arse I can understand that he is just really a man that is pushed to desperation by things beyond his control. Review 1: Not going to rate it as it is just a scene really explaining the animosity between the two families.I think this is more a little something to whet our appetite of smite, though there is not enough of him in the first book for me to feel one way or another.
